  • BSNL Employees Union was formed merging seven All India Unions.
    		•
  • The formation conference took place at Vishakapatnam on 21st March, 2001
    		•
  • The Union was registered with No.4896
    		•
  • The Circle Union of Chennai Telephones was formed in August, 2001 with the merger of 3 Circle   Unions namely Administrative, E-3 and ITEU
    		•
  • The 1st Conference was held in September, 2003 , the 2nd in January, 2006 and the 3rd Conference is   scheduled from 4th to 6th February, 2008
    		•
  • The Union faced the 1st verification in alliance with TEPU, AI SC/ST TEWA The 2nd and 3rd verifications   were fought with the alliance of FNTO and AIBCTES in addition to the     old partners and became the   Recognised Union in BSNL..
    		•
  • The votes for the alliance improved considerably in the 3rd verification because of the performance as   the recognized Union.
  • Under Chennai Telephones Circle there were 6 Districts and it rose to 8 with the merger of Telegraph   and Chingleput Districts.The latest entry in the list of the Districts is    Southern Telecom Region from April,   2007.
